FROM PARTS STORE To COMPLETE SOLUTION

When Wesley and Angela Davis bought High Tide NAPA Parts in September 2020, they saw an opportunity to do more than just supply Petersburg with quality parts. They listened - and kept hearing the same problem: customers constantly had to ship vehicles all the way to Juneau for repairs that couldn't be done locally. Within three years, the parts store had outgrown its downtown location. In October 2023, they purchased the building across from the ferry terminal and opened their renovated flagship parts store in mid-November 2024. But they weren't done.
Building what was missing

In September 2024, they broke ground on High Tide Auto. They built it right - 3,700 square feet with 18-foot ceilings and 16-foot bay doors designed to handle everything from large boats on trailers to heavy equipment to school buses. Top-of-the-line equipment, installed from the ground up. By the time they opened in May 2025, they already had a waitlist of over 40 vehicles. Petersburg and Wrangell finally had the comprehensive automotive service they deserved, right in their own backyard. The investment was recognized when High Tide won Petersburg Chamber of Commerce's 2025 Business of the Year award.

If you've driven by High Tide Auto or High Tide NAPA Parts Store, you've seen the 1958 GMC truck parked outside. That truck represents an era when things were built to last, when workmanship meant something. When Angela started collecting vintage garage and auto signage to hang inside the shop, it became clear this wasn't just about aesthetics - it was about honoring the past while serving the present. The truck, the signage, the whole look pays respect to the generations of mechanics and craftspeople who came before, while delivering the modern technology and service Petersburg needs today.
